However, his enjoyment of the suffering of others and his inability to follow orders eventually led to him being expelled from the academy. With his heart filled with anger and disgust for a system that no longer wanted him, Torr created his own mercenary army, comprised of thieves and criminals. Offering its services to the highest bidder, Torr’s wild bunch soon acquired solid experience, and is now capable of standing up to any army.

One day, while patrolling along the border, he noticed a group of mercenaries. His patrol followed them to assess their intentions, but they realized only too late that not one, but several companies of mercenaries were gathering to launch a massive attack. While returning to the house of the Hawks, he found himself surrounded and had no other choice than to fight his way through the mercenaries’ ranks. Wounded, he was taken prisoner and failed to warn Falkar of the danger that threatened the Wolves’ kingdom.

Thus, at the end of the year, during the javelin test, Isiaaki attempted to murder Sioki, hoping that it would be taken for an accident. Outraged by his disloyal conduct, the Cheetahs expelled him from their lands and, since then, Isiaaki lives as a vagabond surviving from robbery and theft, brooding over his never-ending hatred for his eternal rival.

Wakaï is a rather unusual young monk. During his training, while his comrades spent hours meditating, he preferred to roam the mountains to put his skills to the test. Often reprimanded by Souhel as he tried to sneak into the dormitory without being caught, Wakaï was nonetheless treated with sympathy by his teachers, who saw a promising student in him. At the end of his training, Souhel offered him an old wooden stick, and ordered him to leave the temple and survive for one year alone in the mountains that he loved so much. After several close calls and cheating death on multiple occasions, Wakaï hardened his body and soul and returned, stronger than ever. Always in love with the mountains of Oros, he now lives alone on their highest peaks, but often returns to the temple to reunite with his masters.

However, her love of weapons and her strong personality drove her to challenge all that stood in her path, and she rose to the rank of general of the Grizzly Bear king’s armies. Loyal until death, she has unfortunately failed to realize that her beloved king is a changed Grizzly Bear and, blinded by her need for recognition, she continues to obey his orders, regardless of the sacrifices that he may require.

While Rog had a sharper mind than Ned for studies and strategy, Ned dominated his friend in physical trials and armed combat. Ned therefore naturally became Rog’s right hand, and was one of the rare individuals to follow Rog on dangerous missions beyond the border of the Wolves’ realm. A witness to Rog’s treason, he failed to stop his friend’s arm when he murdered his father. Ned long regretted failing to intervene and to save his king’s life… and with it, Rog’s soul. However, with unfaltering loyalty and limitless faith in Rog’s judgment, Ned continues to serve Rog and leads his ruler’s troops into battle with great honor.

The Grizzly Bear king, in his paranoid madness, indeed suspected the Mammoths of plotting against him, and demanded that they surrender all their weapons to him. Unable to accept that their honor and loyalty be questioned, Stortan resigned from his position and fell back to the valley, ready for new battles if fate was to draw them to him.

Handicapped by their slowness, they have become past masters in the art of camouflage; they patiently wait for curious visitors to approach them before unleashing a crushing attack. As they have little contact with other houses, the most sordid rumors are heard about them; according to one of them, after flattening their opponents like pancakes, they eagerly devour them while screaming “Karwa burga”! While this poor reputation has enabled them to live a secluded and peaceful life for many centuries, they have recently fallen prey to the Armadillo Lizards and Panthers, who organize bloody driven hunts to recover their shells as trophies. Revolted by such cruelty, Don has decided to rekindle his people’s vengeful flame, and has come out of hiding to lead a guerrilla against the Goats and their allies.
